Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) before using Software Engineering Programs. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Advertising and editorial independence
Software Engineering Programs is not affiliated with any school it ranks, and carries no sponsored listings or paid program links today. Our rankings are produced by a published formula; no school can pay to change a score or a position. Our advertising disclosure explains what would change, and what would not, if the site carries paid links in the future. The methodology sets out the full scoring.
Use of the site
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers or networks
- Interfere with or disrupt the proper functioning of the site
- Scrape, harvest or collect data from the site by automated means without our written permission
- Reproduce, distribute or republish content from the site without attribution and prior consent

Educational information disclaimer
The information on Software Engineering Programs is for general informational and educational purposes. We work to keep it current and accurate, but make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about its completeness, accuracy, reliability or suitability.
Program details, tuition, admission requirements, delivery formats, accreditation status, salary figures and job outlook can change without notice. Always confirm details with the school, and with ABET for accreditation, before making enrollment or financial decisions.
Nothing on this site is professional career counseling, financial advice or academic advising.
Rankings, program and salary data
Program information comes from each school’s own pages and from federal IPEDS data; accreditation from ABET’s accredited program list. Salary, employment and job-growth figures come from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and price comparisons from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. These figures are estimates and medians that may not reflect any one person’s outcome: actual pay varies with location, employer, role and experience. Each figure is dated beside it and in the page’s Sources list.
Intellectual property
All content on Software Engineering Programs, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, data compilations and software, is the property of Software Engineering Programs or its content suppliers and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. Federal data we republish remains in the public domain.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display or otherwise use content from this site without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use with proper attribution.
Third-party links
The site links to third-party websites, including schools, ABET, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, NCES and other sources we cite. These links are provided for your convenience. We do not endorse, control or take responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party website.
Limitation of liability
Software Engineering Programs, its owners, affiliates and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of the site, reliance on any information provided on it, or any action taken based on its content. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data or other intangible losses.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Software Engineering Programs and its owners, officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the site or your violation of these Terms.
Changes to these terms
We may change these Terms at any time. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
