Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Software Engineering Programs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit the site to research software engineering degrees, careers and salaries, which outside services handle that information, and how to ask us about it.

• The site runs no analytics, advertising, affiliate or tracking scripts.
• We don’t set cookies. The one thing the site stores is your light or dark theme choice, kept in your own browser.
• Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical details of each request so it can deliver the page and protect the site.
• If you email us, we use what you send only to reply.
• We don’t sell personal information.

Information collected automatically

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver each page and keep the site secure, Cloudflare processes the details every web request carries, including:

• Your IP address, and the approximate location it implies
• Browser and operating system (the user agent)
• The page requested, the referring page, and the date and time

Cloudflare keeps request logs for the site for troubleshooting and security, under its own retention rules. We don’t combine them with any other information about you.

Information stored on your device

When you switch between light and dark mode, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage under the name “theme,” so the next page opens in the same mode. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it from your browser settings at any time.

Information you provide

If you email us at hello@savomediagroup.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. The site has no forms, accounts, quizzes or sign-ups.

• To deliver the site and keep it running and secure
• To reply to your email, including corrections you send about a program or a figure
• To comply with legal obligations

Every page is served from the site’s own domain. The pages load no scripts, fonts or images from other companies’ servers.

Fonts (Geist and Geist Mono) and images are served from our own domain, so no font or image service sees your visit. The site runs no analytics, advertising or affiliate scripts. If we add one, we will update this page first and list it here.

We share information only with the services above, so they can do their part, and when required by law, regulation, legal process or a governmental request. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Program cards and tables link to schools’ own websites, and our sources link to government and accreditor sites such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics, NCES and ABET. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover. Read their policies before you share information with them.

We keep email only as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of corrections, unless the law requires longer. Cloudflare’s request logs are kept under Cloudflare’s retention rules.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither)

To make any of these requests, email hello@savomediagroup.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may ask for enough detail to find the information you mean.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

When this policy changes, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. A change in what the site loads or collects comes with an update here.
